PREP Youth Leadership Summit

PREP Summer Interns and Yampah HS students discussing teen pregnancy on KDNK
PREP is on a mission to help Garfield County youth gain the leadership skills they need to have their voices heard and make an impact on the health of their peers and families.  This year, PREP will be hosting a Youth Leadership Summit that will bring together 50 youth from across the county and train them to be community leaders and educators around sexual health.

We have discovered that Garfield County youth have a lot of knowledge and concern about the unhealthy decisions their peers are making.  When youth educate other youth and their families, the impact can be very powerful for everyone involved.
Students from Basalt HS and Roaring Fork HS traveled to Denver as part of Youth Action Day

Please check out our website for an application to be a participant at our youth summit.  It will be held on January 19 and 20 in Carbondale.  The event is FREE and food will be provided.  This will be a fun and exciting weekend so don't miss it!

We also need adult volunteers for 4 hour shifts!
If you or someone you know would like to be a part of this inspiring weekend, please contact Crystal Holsinger at 970-319-1465 for more information.
